Yesterday was a madly productive day. I got so much done, and the quality was so great, the state of euphoria made me high. Yesterday was one of those days you wish you could have everyday.

Also, I have been having a series of small but significant realizations about my web sites, especially this one. Web sites are often like living things, growing and changing. So it's OK for me to start out with this dirt simple page, and grow it up gradually. I just need to make the changing and the growing happen on a regular basis. That thinking runs counter to my perfectionist behavior. When something ships, I want it to be in perfect shape and 100% working condition. That goes fine for most things, I guess. But the 100% working condition of a website is it's refining, changing and evolving.

Well, whatever. Anyway, enjoy what you can while we have out uglies out. And please also come back often to enjoy the gradual changes. Next, we shall try to shoot for an actual layout with some good ol' WrennWorld style eye candy!

(next time I will remember to spell check _before_ posting)

We are currently taking down the bitweaver site. It kept breaking, so those people were sacked. And the people they sacked were sacked. Things are a bit ugly, now. But please bear with us. With some earnest attention, a spellchecker and lots of GTD grease, things should be up again soon. To keep you entertained while our hosts try to repair the stage, I am currently listening to a suggestive song by Type O Negative, mixed in a playlist with old and new songs by The Cure.

A Simple note, From a simple guy

I must confess

. . . about why this looks so bad

You see, I am not really a web designer. By trade, I am a writer and animator. So, though I understand some basics of coding, and CSS has come a long way to making a well designed web site much easier, I am still not quite up to the task of deploying a complete, properly coded, standards compliant web site.

"Sure, but you know enough to come this far, right? Then what's with the designs and this horrid color balanace?" You might ask something like that, and you would be totally correct. The fact is, it took me so long to fiddle with the CSS stuff, I have not had time to go back and replace all the place holders, yet. But it's OK. I think I mentioned somewhere else that, I have now taken the stance of altering the web site a little at a time. And excluding the divs that need to go to the right, this site has entered the phase of development where I feel little changes each day will be sufficient to keep going. After all, messing with graphics doesn't really take that much time when you know exactly what you're doing.

Well, signing off for now.

Today, I had great fellowship at church, was hit by a car, had a terrible battle with Amanya, finally cleared a level on Macross Ace Frontier, saw 2 pretty good movies . . . exciting, but not quite the Sunday I planned for. I think I will go to bed now and write details tomorrow.
